I found a USB stick in a normal sausage: At first I thought the USB stick had accidentally got into the food until I checked its contents.

Yesterday I bought a pack of ordinary sausages in the supermarket – nothing special, just quick for a few sandwiches.

When I got home, I cut off something, ate a few pieces and put the rest in the fridge. Everything seemed perfectly normal.

I put the USB stick in my computer without really knowing what to expect – and what I saw made me shudder. There was only one folder titled “OPEN ME”. In it, only a single picture: a photo of a man staring laughing directly into the camera.

I dropped the mouse and just sat there, staring at the screen, a shower running down my back. Maybe it was just a macabre prank, but who would go so far as to hide a USB stick in Essen?

Now I'm torn whether to turn on the police and have them determined, or just give up the matter and try to forget it. Either way, I know one thing for sure: I will never see purchased sausage with the same eyes again.
